Twisted graphic designer who terrorised six females online found guilty

A graphic designer has been found guilty of terrorising six females in a harrowing campaign of online abuse.

Shaquille Williams, aged 25, blackmailed one victim by threatening to send private sexual photographs of her to her family and friends.

The 25-year-old vowed to – unless she sent him more images which he tried to direct.

The victim had already been targeted by sadistic blackmailer and paedophile Abdul Hasib Elahi, 26.

Elahi is currently awaiting sentencing after admitting sickening online offences in a separate National Crime Agency investigation.

Abdul Hasib Elahi, 26, admitted a total of 158 offences.

  • blackmailed worldwide victims to horrifically abuse themselves, siblings and children;

  • sold the footage as ‘box sets’ to other offenders;

  • provided ‘master classes’ on the encrypted Telegram app to help paedophiles avoid detection;

  • and his victims were as young as eight months old.

He singled out victims who were in debt or too young to legitimately be on the sites and tricked them into sending him naked or partially clothed images of themselves. He also targeted some victims on social media.

He promised payment of thousands of pounds for posed images and sent fake screenshots of money leaving his account in similar transactions to convince victims.

Elahi, of Sparkhill, Birmingham, masqueraded as a businessman or stockbroker on sugar daddy websites and conned victims into sending him sexual images of themselves.

He then blackmailed them into filming themselves performing increasingly degrading acts and sending him the footage.

Elahi posted the footage online where Williams, of Hartness Road, Clifton, Nottingham, acquired some of it.

Today, at Nottingham Crown Court, a jury found Williams guilty of blackmailing the victim between 10 January 2019 and 10 May 2019.

The jury also convicted him of three counts of harassing three women and putting them in fear of violence between 18 April 2019 and 21 May 2019.

Williams was also found guilty of two counts of sending grossly offensive messages to two other women.

Using various social media accounts, university graduate Williams sent the women horrendous abuse including pictures of acid attack victims.

One victim received messages including the name of her home town, a picture of hydrochloric acid and a message featuring her road name.

Williams will be sentenced on 18 August.

Another defendant, Kirsty Nicholls, 35, from Middlesex, who knew Elahi from a sugar daddy website, had previously pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual assault of a child and one of making an indecent photo.

Elahi and Nicholls will be sentenced on September 9 and 10 at Birmingham Crown Court.

Erdington paedophile jailed after grooming and sexually abusing schoolgirl

A sex predator from Birmingham that groomed and then sexually abused a 14-year-old girl has been jailed after the brave victim spoke out.

Nicholas Pearmain, of Kings Road, Erdington, groomed his victim over a period of time before going on to sexually abuse her, Northampton Crown Court heard.

Though the 24-year-old never admitted his crimes and failed to comment, officers were able to prove what he had done using forensics, police said.

Pearmain was sentenced to five years and three months in prison and given an extended licence for four years.

He was also placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register and given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) with indefinite notification requirements.

Wolverhampton paedophile with secret bank accounts finally rumbled by police while in TSB queue

A twisted paedophile had a trio of secret bank accounts he hid from police, a court has heard.

Paul Miller, from the West Midlands but now living in Wales, was required to declare any accounts he had to the cops

That was under the terms of his release following being convicted of serious sexual offending against young girls.

A court has heard the 61-year-old Black Country man opened three TSB accounts.

He was accused of repeatedly lied to police about their existence, only being busted when an off-duty offender manager saw him in a queue at a bank and raised the alarm.

The court heard Miller believes the restrictions he has to abide by because he’s a registered sex offender are “unfair” and the police are persecuting him.

In 2009 Miller was sentenced to five years in prison at Wolverhampton Crown Court for historical sexual offences involving two young girls, one aged just five.

He was released in 2012 and subsequently moved to Aberystwyth.

An off-duty offender manager saw Miller waiting in a queue at the TSB bank in Aberystwyth and raised the alarm.

Police subsequently discovered he had three accounts with the bank.

When interviewed he told officers he had had the accounts since 2017.

Paul David Miller, of Bow Street, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, had previously pleaded guilty to breaching notification requirements when he appeared in the dock for sentencing.

Miller was sentenced to six months in prison.

He will serve half that period in custody before being released on licence to serve the remainder in the community.

Birmingham paedophile targeted almost 2,000 victims

A sadistic blackmailer and paedophile from Birmingham targeted nearly 2,000 people worldwide to commit online sexual offences – and then sold sick footage in ‘box-sets’.

Abdul-Hasib Elahi, who posed as a stockbroker during his sick reign of terror, blackmailed victims into committing horrific abuse of themselves or others and sold the footage as ‘box sets’ to other offenders.

His victims were as young as eight-months-old.

Elahi, 26, of Allcroft Road, Sparkhill, had previously admitted 158 offences including blackmail, disclosing private photos, distributing indecent images, causing a child to engage in sexual activity, fraud, possessing extreme pornography, causing or inciting the sexual exploitation of a child and possessing more than 65,000 indecent images of children – including babies being raped.

The offences were committed between 1 January 2017 and 7 August 2020.

Up to today there had been a ban on reporting his pleas which was lifted by a judge at Birmingham Crown Court.

Elahi provided online ‘master classes’ on the encrypted Telegram app to other offenders teaching them how to blackmail victims and obtain indecent images from children without being caught.

He operated by pretending to be a stockbroker or rich businessman on ‘sugar daddy’ websites.

He singled out victims who were in debt or too young to legitimately be on the sites and tricked victims into sending him naked or partially clothed images of themselves. He also targeted some victims on social media.

He promised payment of thousands of pounds for posed images and sent fake screenshots of money leaving his account in similar transactions to convince victims.

An investigation by the National Crime Agency revealed there were at least 196 victims in the UK and that he had contacted at least 600 people online in the UK

He had also tried to contact 1,367 women in the United States and there were also victims in 20 other countries including Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

As soon as possible, Elahi moved victims onto WhatsApp and away from the websites he met them on.

When he received enough revealing images he threatened to expose the pictures to the victims’ families and friends unless they sent more.

Some of the victims were so terrified they felt they had no choice but to comply.

He systematically categorised all the abuse within cloud storage sites.

He then sold the content as ‘box sets’ through the cloud and via the encrypted app Telegram making more than £25,000.

That resulted in further misery for the victims, with their family and friends becoming aware, and often with more offenders trying to blackmail them again.

National Crime Agency officers arrested unemployed Elahi on 19 December 2018 following an allegation he was blackmailing a 15-year-old girl in America. His mobile phone and computers were seized and forensically examined.

Repeat sex attacker grabbed teen by throat on Black Country canal path

A registered sex offender who sexually assaulted and robbed a 14-year-old girl has been jailed for more than 11 years.

William Binsley, who has a track record of attacking lone women, was months away from being removed from the sex offenders register when he attacked his teenage victim on a canal towpath in Walsall.

He grabbed her by the throat, forced her to the ground and held a hand over her mouth before assaulting her on a pathway off Green Rock Lane, in Bloxwich, on July 24 last year.

The victim feared she would be thrown into the canal before Binsley fled with her mobile phone, bank card and headphones, Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.

The 44-year-old was later tracked down by his car, which he had parked near the scene just before the attack took place. The victim also pointed him out in an identity parade.

Binsley, of Bloxwich Road South in Willenhall, was charged with sexual assault and robbery. He initially denied the charges before changing his plea to guilty days before his trial was due to start – and after his victim had already been cross-examined at a hearing.

Prosecutor Mr Matthew Barnes said: “Binsley approached her from the front, walked past on her on the path and nodded.

As she walked away he turned and followed her, now wearing a face covering, which she described as a balaclava but was probably a black snood later found in his car.

“He put his hand over her mouth from behind and his other arm grabbed her around the neck. He removed her iPhone from her pocket, pulled her down to the ground, lying her on the grass, keeping his hand over her mouth. He asked her if she had anything else and in fear she gave him her AirPods.

“He then sexually assaulted her. He kept his hand over her mouth and was looking for passers-by. She pleaded with him to stop.

“She later said to police she did not want to die for her mobile phone. She did not know if she was to be raped, thrown into the canal, or kidnapped. He then fled the scene – and she ran away in shock and distress, and raised the alarm with a passer-by. She gave police a description of her attacker. She also sustained a small scratch to her face and mark to her wrist.

“Shortly after committing the offence, Binsley had telephoned his sex offender management and left her a voicemail message asking when she would be visiting him that day.”

The court heard that the teenager now suffers “new levels of anxiety, questioning everything”. She also feels vulnerable, views people negatively and is scared to be on her own, even at her home address.

Binsley had been convicted of similar attacks in 2012 and 2013.

Judge Stephen Thomas sentenced him to 11 years and four months in prison for the sexual assault, with an extended licence of three years. His sentence for the robbery, 57 months, will run concurrently.

He added: “I consider it necessary to impose an extended sentence to protect the public.”
