Yorkshire paedophile filmed himself having sex with dog

A former Filey man who raped a boy, incited a girl to engage in sexual activity and filmed himself having sexual intercourse with a dog has been jailed.

Kyle Stephenson, aged 29, now of no fixed address, was sentenced to 18 years’ imprisonment at York Crown Court on Friday 16 July 2021

He was due to stand trial this week but decided to plead guilty to the offences against the boy and the girl.

Stephenson also admitted committing bestiality after police recovered conclusive video evidence.

The Judge took this offence into consideration when passing sentence, which also subjected him to a life-time Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely.

He also has to serve an additional year on licence.

Stephenson was arrested on 31 January 2021 following a complaint made by the boy and he has remained in custody since being charged.

Police enquiries confirmed that all the offence took place between then and January 2020.

Sadly, the dog Stephenson abused has since died from illness.

Paedophile who sexually assaulted child and hoarded thousands of indecent images is jailed

A twisted paedophile who sexually abused a young boy and hoarded thousands of indecent images has started his 14-year jail term behind bars.

Sickening Stephen Newell, 48, of St Mary’s Road, London, came to officers’ attention as a Portsmouth resident when an online account linked to him uploaded an indecent image of a child to the internet earlier this year.

Hampshire police’s internet child abuse team subsequently carried out an investigation, which led to the seizure of a number of devices, including a laptop and mobile phones that had inappropriate content on them.

During the investigation, horrified detectives were able to uncover that Newell had also sexually abused a young boy and recorded the footage.

Newell was arrested in February this year and subsequently charged with two counts of taking indecent photographs of a child, one count of making indecent photographs of children, three counts of distributing/showing indecent photographs/indecent pseudo-photographs of a child/children, one count of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, two counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration and three counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.

He pleaded guilty to all charges and appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court where he was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Sentencing him, Judge Recorder Robert Bright QC said he found the pervert’s actions ‘profoundly disturbing’ and said they would have a ‘devastating impact’ on the victim.

He said: ‘They will have lifelong consequences [for the victim].’

Newell must serve at least half of his sentence and will remain on licence for a further eight years.

Sick trio raped schoolgirl in playground, bedroom and on filthy mattresses

Three members of a vile gang have been jailed for grooming and raping a young schoolgirl.

The teenager was subjected to a reign of sexual abuse by Banaras Hussain, Mohammed Akram and Talish Mahmood Ahmed throughout the period of 1995 and 1998.

A court heard during a trial how the vulnerable girl was raped in a primary school playground and one of the men even climbed up a drainpipe and into her bedroom at her dad’s house and raped her.

The three defendants accepted knowing who the complainant was, but proceeded to deny all the charges on a seven-count indictment.

ThrougHout the trial, lead prosecutor Kate Barry informed the jury that the case concerned the sexual exploitation of a 13-year-old girl, who from a young age was targeted by older men who wanted to use her for their own vile sexual agenda.

Mrs Batty described the girl as vulnerable with low-self esteem.

She said older men struck up conversations with her in the street and she was groomed between them by being made to feel special, including by being given cigarettes, vodka, special brew lager and drugs.

Mrs Batty said: “By the time she was 13 years old, she was drinking every day and was intoxicated most of the time.

“More and more men came onto the scene and the group got bigger and bigger – such that she can’t even remember them all now.”

Mrs Batty said the teenager was treated as an “object”, adding: “Routine to her became the day in, day out events of being touched or groped or having sex on grubby mattresses on the floors of flats and houses that she found herself in.”

In a victim personal statement, read out during sentencing, the woman abused by the three men said she felt “lost, embarrassed, ashamed and broken” as she gave evidence at their trial.

She said she had hoped to carry the memories of the abuse to her grave but seeing the picture of Gul Riaz, another one of her abusers who is already behind bars, prompted her to fight for justice.

She went on to say she felt let down by West Yorkshire Police “in the worst possible way”.

The statement went on to say she had learnt to wear an invisible mask for her whole life and suffered from flashbacks.

She said now that the trial is over, she hopes to put the abuse back in a box until the day she dies.

Hussain was Married at the time he groomed the 13-year-old girl.

It is alleged that he abused her twice a week over a period of around a year or so, usually in the woods or in a primary school’s playground.

Mrs Batty said: “He took her to a house one day where again the alcohol and drugs were free flowing.

“In the bedroom of that house, she lost her virginity to him on a mattress without bedding, using a curtain as a blanket.”

She said Hussain left the girl heartbroken after introducing her to other men.

Hussain, 44, of Church Street, Paddock, was found guilty of two counts of rape and described as the “primary groomer”.

He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Akram, also known as Buckree, was in a relationship at the time he is accused of first abusing the complainant.

Jurors were told that he had been present on many occasions both on the playground and in flats or houses where the girl was taken, including when she lost her virginity.

He introduced her to amphetamine and thought he could grope her sexually when he wanted.

The prosecutor said Akram first raped the girl on an airbed in a flat when she was aged 15, high and drunk.

She said the defendant’s girlfriend was asleep next to them on the airbed when it happened.

“On a second occasion, when she was still 15, she was at her father’s house when he climbed up the drainpipe and into her bedroom.

“Again, she was intoxicated and again he abused her before leaving in the early hours of the morning so that her father didn’t become aware that he was in the house.”

Akram, 44, of Moorbottom Road, Thornton Lodge, denied two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault but was found guilty by the jury of all three.

He was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

The prosecutor said the girl was aged 15 when she was taken from a snooker centre to a flat, had her drink spiked, was taken in a car to a secluded location in the dark and was raped

She said: “Talish Ahmed was a passenger. She remembers him being in the back with her. He abused with her when she was in no fit state to consent; a state that they had deliberately put her in so that she could be raped.

“Once they were finished with her, she was dumped, thrown out of the taxi at the end of her street with her knickers and trousers round by her ankles.

“They couldn’t even be bothered to help her get dressed again.”

Mrs Batty described the incident as the “final straw” for the complainant, adding: “The offence he committed against her marked the end of her abuse.”

The incident was reported to police at the time so the prosecution has been able to say it happened on November 25, 1997.

The prosecutor said the complainant feels “let down” by the police, explaining: “She gave a statement to the police and was medically examined. Despite that, no action was ever taken.

“It’s not entirely clear why but what we do know is that things have come a long way since the late 1990s in terms of our understanding of sexual offending.”

Jurors were told that the complainant moved on with her life and intended to take the abuse to her grave until she saw a photo of one of her other abusers in a newspaper alongside an article about him being prosecuted for child sexual exploitation offences.

Ahmed, 41, of Rashcliffe Hill Road, Lockwood, was convicted of one count of rape.

He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

David Fowler – Warrington

Paedophile sent messages to girl after being released from prison on licence

A sex offender who contacted a teenage girl on social media while out of prison on licence has been jailed.

Warrington man David Fowler was jailed for nine years in 2015 after pleading guilty to four counts of inciting a 15 year old girl to engage in sexual intercourse.

On Tuesday Fowler , 30, of no fixed abode, appeared at Chester Crown court when he was jailed for 22 months for breaching the terms of a sexual offence prevention order.

The 22 month sentence will sit alongside the rest of Fowler’s prison sentence from 2015.

Chester Crown court heard that Fowler had contacted a 15-year-old girl on social media, which breached the terms of the sexual offence prevention order handed down to him in 2015.

In 2015 Warrington Crown court heard how Fowler had set up a Facebook account in the name ‘Chris Johnson’ which he used to send explicit messages to a teenage girl.

The court heard that Fowler had used social media to groom teenager girls. Judge Nicholas Woodward, who jailed the Warrington man for nine years, described him as a “predator.”

Zach Rankin – Glasgow

Outrage as champagne swigging serial sex beast seen walking streets after early release

A serial rapist is back on the streets after being released early from prison.

Champagne-swigging sex beast Zach Rankin, 29, was locked up for nearly 10 years after being convicted of raping three women he wooed with flashy dates.

But just six years after he was jailed he has been spotted out and about in Glasgow ’s west end by previous associates.

A source said: “He is now free, walking the streets of Partick and the West End of Glasgow, where many young women and students live and frequent.

“The public needs to know.”

Rankin charmed his young victims – including a girl aged just 15 – with lavish gestures before subjecting them to vicious sexual ordeals which left them terrified.

He was so confident his secret would never be uncovered he recorded a vile song for YouTube about degrading women which branded them “sl*ts”.

A source once close to Rankin said yesterday: “The fact he’s out has made its way around his previous circles. It has sparked a lot of negative reaction.

“When the police did their investigation they only focused on previous girlfriends of Zach.

“I know of quite a few women who have been affected by him.”

One of his victims told of her ordeal after he was found guilty by a jury of the five rapes and six assaults on his victims.

She told how she planned to flee Glasgow, saying warped Rankin would plot his revenge from his jail cell and try to ruin her life.

The then 24-year-old planned her escape from the relationship just weeks after meeting Rankin, who she described as a “salesman through and through”, and revealed how his designer suits and flashy nights out were just a facade as he lived on handouts from his parents and struggled to keep a roof over his head.

She said “dangerous” Rankin would choke her during sex and first raped the student when she woke up with him assaulting her as he watched porn.

She thought she was free of him when he ended the relationship later in 2013 but he raped her again before she could leave.

She said: “I’ve never been the same since.

“Now if someone looks at me the wrong way it takes me back to that place and I can’t think about anything else. I have flashbacks of hands around my neck.”

His youngest victim said she was 15 when she first started having unlawful sex with Rankin, her first real boyfriend.

But she said their relationship quickly turned into an abusive one and, when she tried to dump him during a camping trip at South Beach, Troon, in Ayrshire in 2010, he raped her in the tent.

A 24-year-old, mixed-race, single mum said he slapped her and spat on her face before raping her on two occasions in flats in Pollokshields, Glasgow, during their relationship.

He was also convicted of racially abusing her.

All of the offences were committed between January 2010 and May 2014.

The women realised there had been overlaps in their relationships with Rankin.

At his trial, Rankin denied all the charges and claimed the females consented to sex.

He said they lied because they had a grudge against him but drew disgusted looks from the jury when he boasted of being “well endowed” and said he was “a connoisseur of porn”.

Rankin was jailed for nine-and-a-half years at the High Court in Edinburgh in June 2015, with judge Lord Bannatyne telling him his attitude towards women was “clearly disordered”.

The judge added: “You pose a significant risk of harm to any woman with whom you are in a relationship.”

Lord Bannatyne ordered his name be added to the sex offenders’ register for an indefinite period.

A Scottish Prison Service spokeswoman confirmed Rankin is no longer in custody.
