Basildon paedophile threatened to tie up girl and abuse her

A pervert was stung by a hunter group after he threatened to tie up a “girl” and sexually abuse her.

Bradley Davis was arrested by police following a confrontation by the group near his home in The Gore, Basildon.

During the live stream, the 30-year-old maintained that he knew the profiles he had been speaking to and sending the threats online were decoys and was trying to expose them.

Davis was arrested by police following the event on October 7, and was charged with four counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, and four counts of attempting to incite a child into sexual activity, including penetration and no penetration.

He was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Monday.

Prosecuting, Mark Hunsley told the court that the messages to the decoy profiles, which had posed as girls under the age of 16, had been sent over the course of seven days.

He said: “The conversations were of an extreme sexual nature.

“When she said she didn’t want something to happen, he said ‘I don’t care, just do it’.

“He tried to suggest that he knew they were decoys but that is not accepted by the prosecution.

“When he was confronted he was told that he seriously needed help.”

Mr Hunsley added: “He said he would tie her up with rope.”

Recorder Claire Davies told Davis: “The youngest decoy pretended to be 12-years-old.

“During the course of the investigation you suggested staying in a hotel.

“She told you that she was crying, but you persisted.

“You were explicit in your discussions with her about doing it as hard as you liked and getting her pregnant.”

Davis received a three year community order with 90 days rehabilitation and a notification requirement of five years.
