Pervert caught by paedophile hunting team

An already convicted sex offender who believed he was meeting a child following sexual grooming has appeared in court

Unemployed Paul Micheal Hilton, 42 of Rochdale  appeared at Court where he admitted:

• Breaching a previous sexual harm prevention order

• Attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming

The court was told that he contacted the online profile of who he believed belonged to a 14-year-old girl. He told the girl that he wanted to meet so they could have sex at his house.

Hilton knew he was breaking the law, and even stated that he could to prison if anyone found out about the messages. He repeatedly told her to delete them after she had read them. Hilton used a fake name.

Hilton arranged a meet, but on January 24th, 2019, he was greeted by paedophile hunting team ‘Stung by Confronted’ who questioned him over his internet activity.

Hilton confessed to the team that he was previously jailed in the past for sexual offences and although he was still on license, it ended in two weeks.

Hilton admitted the charges to police, and he will be sentenced at a later date
