Man sentenced for making and downloading indecent images of children

A computer user who downloaded indecent images of children has been given a suspended jail sentence.

Mark Pentith appeared before Judge Elgan Edwards at Chester crown court. He was sentenced after pleading guilty to making and downloading indecent images of children [15 counts] and Possession of indecent photographs or pseudo-photograph of a child [2 counts]

Judge Edwards passed a two year suspended sentence on the the first charge of making and downloading indecent images of children [15 counts], and a supervision attendance order for the second charge of  Possession of indecent photographs or pseudo-photograph of a child [2 counts].

The supervision order also includes requirements to attend a thinking skills programme and destruction order of the computer equipment.

Pentith will also be required to sign the sex offenders register for for the next ten years which will start immediately
