Paedophile ‘scared’ underage girl into sex crime

A paedophile has been jailed after he ‘scared and pressurised’ an underage girl into taking part in a sex crime.

Levi Watkis had denied he had done anything wrong.

But the 38-year-old was found guilty of sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15 following a trial at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court in May.

The offence dates back more than a decade.

Now Watkis, of Meir, has been sentenced to five years in prison and put on the Sex Offenders register for life.

Staffordshire pervert jailed after teenage girl reported he was grooming her online

Pervert Car Plimmer has been jailed after asking a teenage girl to send him explicit photos and tried meeting up with her.

The 25-year-old had been speaking to a 14-year-old girl from outside the Staffordshire area – but she reported that he was trying to groom her triggering an investigation.

Detectives from Staffordshire Police’s child protection and explitation team (CPET) then seized Plimmer’s electronic devices.

Plimmer, of Norman Road in Penkridge, has now been jailed for six years at Stafford Crown Court after admitting various child sex offences. These included:

• Making indecent images of a child;

• causing/inciting the sexual exploitation of a child;

• causing/inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity;

• casuing a child to watch/look at an image of sexual activity;

• engaging in sexual communication with a child.

‘Dangerous’ homeless paedophile given 10-year sentence

A homeless paedophile who sexually abused young children has been given a ten year extended jail sentence.

Kyle Walklate of Stoke abused one youngster while the other was present, and he told the child not to tell their parents what he had done.

Both children were aged under five years old

Now, the 28-year-old, who is described as a “high risk” to children, has been locked up for seven years.

He will have to spend another three on licence when he is released.

Walklate had failed to show up to his trial, but was convicted in his absence.

He was present at Stoke-on-Trent crown court today to hear that what he had done had had a terrible effect on the family.

Prosecutor Antony Longworth told Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court: “One child was present when the other child was sexually assaulted. The prosecution says that is an aggravating factor, as is the defendant telling the child not to tell his parents and that it was a secret.”

The probation service has found Walklate represents a “high risk” of harming children.

Judge Paul Glenn told him: “You are a dangerous offender. You represent a serious risk of serious harm to members of the public by your commission of further specified offences.”

The court handed Walklate an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order which prevents him having unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16.

He must remain on the Sex Offenders’ Register for the rest of his life and is barred from a range of activities involving children and vulnerable adults.

Burton pervert caught with 20,000 child abuse images

A pervert from Burton has admitted downloading more than 20,000 indecent images of a child.

Police intelligence snared Michael Gozdek, of Wood Street, after two of his computer devices were found to include a high number of indecent images of children.

The 39-year-old appeared at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 12, to admit making 3,748 Category A indecent photographs of a child; 2,267 Category B images; and 14,564 Category C images.

He also admitted possession of 40 prohibited computer-generated images of a child and possession of an extreme pornographic video, which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with dogs.

The offences took place in Burton over a 14 month period.

Alicia Perry, prosecuting, said: “In 2017 intelligence suggested a device using an IP address was in possession of indecent images

“Despite unsuccessful attempts, the defendant was eventually arrested and an examination of two of his devices revealed the images.

“He admitted he had downloaded them and there are a high number of images.”

Gozdek, who was not represented in court, was told his case will be sent to Stafford Crown Court on a date to be fixed for sentencing, following a pre-sentence report.

He answers unconditional bail until his next appearance.
