Edinburgh man found with pictures of children lives in home overlooking primary

An Edinburgh man found with thousands of child abuse images is set to be moved from his home overlooking one of the city’s primary schools.

Stuart McDonald spent four years collecting the vile material, with hundreds of the 17,000 images he was caught with at the “most serious level”.

The 46-year-old avoided jail when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday. However he does face being moved from his home near Leith Primary School.

He’d previously pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing indecent photos or pseudo-photos of children. He accessed thousands of vile images between January 23 2016 and August 4 2020.

Sheriff Alistair Noble said authorities were looking at switching McDonald’s home “because your current address overlooks a school although there is no suggestion of a risk of contact offending”.

The sheriff said McDonald was a first offender but added this wasn’t unusual for people convicted of this particular offence.

He added: “It’s accepted that the offences are serious. They were committed over a period exceeding four years and more than 17,000 images were viewed.”

McDonald was senteNced to three years supervision having already been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register. He must live in accommodation approved by supervisor while a move of address is contemplated.

He must also tell his supervisors about any internet-enabled devices he has and is banned from deleting his browser history or using programmes to hide his online activities.

Scots pervert who sent sick videos of sex act involving kid’s clothing banned from play parks

A pervert who sent videos of himself carrying out a sex act over items of children’s clothing has been banned from playparks or anywhere designed for kids.

Martin Lipscombe took photos of a 12-year-old girl and kids’ clothing on a washing line in Edinburgh which he sent to another male.

Lipscombe and the unknown male discussed what they’d like to do with the youngster over WhatsApp messages.

The 30-year-old appeared for sentencing at the city’s sheriff court on Monday after the case had earlier been deferred for reports.

Sheriff Douglas Keir put Lipscombe on a community payback order with two years of supervision.

Lipscombe was placed on the sex offenders register for the same period.

Sheriff Keir banned Lipscombe, of the city’s Leith area, from entering the grounds of schools, nurseries, playparks or anywhere else designed for children.

The sheriff also ordered him to engage with rehabilitation programmes for sex offenders and prohibited him from communicating with under-18s.

At a hearing in June when Lipscombe pled guilty, fiscal depute Anna Robertson said police carried out an intelligence-led search of Lipscombe’s home and “several” videos were found on devices at the address

The court heard videos showed Lipscombe masturbating over an item of children’s clothing which Ms Robertson said “appeared to be a dress”.

She said the second male was seen masturbating over pictures of children wearing “gymnastic clothing”.

Lipscombe admitted taking photos of a 12-year-old girl playing in a garden and of children’s clothing on a washing line.

The court heard Lipscombe sent these images to the other male and they “discussed the child in a sexual context” including having her watch him masturbate.

Ms Robertson said cops recovered 2170 messages between the pair with 274 attachments.

Lipscombe pled guilty to threatening and abusive behaviour by sending the videos and photos between June 1 and July 1 last year.

Edinburgh paedo recorded himself performing sex acts over underage girls’ clothes

A pervert has been caught with disgusting videos of him performing a solo sex act over children’s clothing.

Martin Lipscombe, from Leith, Edinburgh, also took pictures of a 12-year-old girl and her clothing hanging on a washing line and sent the images to the an unknown male.

Vile Lipscombe then discussed having the child watch him while he masturbated over her clothing during sick conversations with the male from his capital home last year.

The 30-year-old sales assistant also sent separate footage to the third party of an unknown male masturbating over images of children.

Lipscombe was snared after police received information regarding the offences and raided his home on August 11 last year.

The beast pleaded guilty to two sexual offences when he appeared in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.

Prosecutor Anna Robertson told the court that police officers executed the search warrant following a tip off.

Ms Robertson said: “A search was undertaken and during the examination of devices it was ascertained the accused had sent several videos of himself masturbating over female children’s gym clothing.”

The fiscal added videos were also found which “indicated the accused had taken a number of images of a 12-year-old girl playing in a garden”.

Lipscombe then sent the videos to an unknown person and 1270 messages between the pair discussing the girl in “a sexual context” were also discovered.

The court was told the male Lipscombe sent the images to is currently “unknown and untraced”.

Solicitor Paul Smith, defending, said he would reserve his mitigation to the sentencing hearing.

Sheriff Douglas Keir placed Lipscombe on the sex offenders register and deferred full sentence to August for the preparation of reports.

Lipscombe pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by sending videos of himself masturbating over children’s clothing and an unknown male masturbating over images of children to a third party from his home between June 1 and July 1, 2020.

He also admitted to taking pictures of a 12-year-old girl, and her clothing hanging on a washing line, and sending the pictures to an unknown person and discussing the child in a sexual context including discussing having the child watch him masturbate and him masturbating over her clothing on the same dates.

Scots paedophile posed as teenage boy before luring girl to home and raping her

A paedo pretended to be a teenage boy online before attacking and raping a 14-year-old girl.

Craig Dunsmore, 27, was jailed for six years and three months after being found guilty of the attack at Edinburgh High Court.

The sick cleaner posed as a 15-year-old and persuaded his teenage victim to travel to meet him in Edinburgh before he carried out the horrific attack on her at his home in the city’s Broomhouse area.

Dunsmore was also convicted of a number of other sexual offences, including having indecent images and extreme pornography on a phone.

He had also contacted a 13-year-old girl through another phone and asked for images of her buttocks.

A judge told him at the High Court in Edinburgh: “It is a matter of concern that having been arrested twice you continued to pursue your sexual interest in children.”

The court heard that he had met the rape victim through the internet and told her that he was aged 15 and got her to travel to Edinburgh from her home town.

During the rape attack on January 19 in 2019 he pushed her onto a bed and held her down

Judge Alison Stirling told him: “She froze thinking she was going to be raped, which is what happened.”

Dunsmore, formerly of Broomhouse Medway, had denied raping the girl during an earlier trial but was found guilty of the offence.

He was also convicted of engaging in sexual activity with the underage girl, including requesting that she take naked photos of herself and send them to him.

He was also convicted of possessing and distributing indecent pictures of children and possessing extreme pornography of explicit and realistic images of rape and non-consensual sex between adults and bestiality.

The cleaner was further convicted of requesting that a 13-year-old girl send him images of her buttocks during communications with her in September 2019, when he had been freed under two bail orders at Edinburgh Sheriff court.

Dunsmore had again said he was 15 years old.

The judge told him during a sentencing hearing that Dunsmore followed via a live link to prison : “Custody is the only appropriate disposal having regard to the serious nature of your offending.”

Dunsmore was placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.

Scots paedo branded ‘depraved’ as beast found guilty of rape and sex offences

A ‘dangerous’ Scottish paedophile has been branded ‘depraved’ after being convicted of a string of horror offenses including rape.

Vile Craig Dunsmore was convicted at the High Court in Edinburgh over a number of sex crimes, including the rape of a woman in Edinburgh in January 2019.

The 27-year-old was also found with a stash of indecent images of children as well as being found guilty of online offences involving indecent communications.

Police said Dunsmore, who was branded ‘a dangerous individual’, was ‘motivated purely to satisfy his own depraved sexual gratification.’

They also praised the bravery of the female victims who came forward to get justice for Dunsmore’s evil actions.
