Paedophile caught by hunting team
A pervert who groomed who he believed were two schoolgirls online has avoided a prison sentence
Greg Harrison of Oxford appeared at court where he pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child
The court was told that Harrison who was a BBC radio DJ had contacted the accounts of two girls he believed were 13 and 14 years old.
He sent a string of sexually explicit messages with the intent of the engaging the girls in sexual activity
However, the girls did not exist and were instead adults posing as children. Paedophile hunting team UK justice apprehended Harrison and he was arrested
The judge imposed a sentence of 18 months imprisonment – suspended for two years
To attend a Horizon accredited sex offender programme
35 day rehabilitation activity requirement
He was also handed a sexual harm prevention order and told to register as a sex offender for ten years
