Pervert caught by online paedophile hunters

A pervert has been jailed after he was caught by online paedophile hunters

Gavin Hamilton of Surrey appeared at court where he admitted:

• Attempted communication with a child aged under 16

• Attempting to cause of incite a child into sexual activity

The court was told that Hamilton had contacted the online profile of someone he believed was a underage schoolgirl

He went on to send highly sexually explicit messages with the view of engaging the child into sexual activity.

However, the child did not exist and was instead a adult posing as a child.

A paedophile hunting team confronted Hamilton on the 28th August 2019 and questioned him on his internet activity before ringing the police who arrested him at the scene.
