Paedophile faces jail for grooming offences

A pervert is facing an immediate prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to three child sex offences.
Daniel Halford, 37, of Darent Walk, Bettws, Newport, was remanded in custody by Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke at Cardiff Crown Court.
He admitted two counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child and one of attempting to cause/incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
The offences were committed in February.
Halford was caught by a online paedophile hunting team
The defendant was represented by Ben Waters and the prosecution by Rachel Knight.
Halford, who appeared in court via video link from Parc Prison in Bridgend, will be sentenced on Tuesday, May 5.
