A pervert who sexually molested a young girl in her bed while telling her little sister she was next, was yesterday jailed for 18 months.
Furious relatives of the young victims had to be held back by officials at Hamilton Sheriff Court as James Frame, 67, was taken away to start his sentence.
Frame, a former long-distance lorry driver, terrified the young girls after creeping into the seven-year-old’s bedroom and sexually molesting her as her four-year-old sister watched in terror
Frame, of Winton Crescent, Uddingston, Lanarkshire, was found guilty of four charges of lewd and libidinous behaviour towards the two young girls between January 1983 and December 1987. He was convicted of climbing into the bed with both girls who were sleeping at his home and performing sex acts.
Frame was also convicted of touching the younger girl during an afternoon walk in Blantyre.
Frame’s lawyer, Mr Andy Iles, claimed Frame should be kept out of jail because of his failing health and insisted the pensioner was a first offender with no likelihood of reoffending.
But sentencing Frame, who has had to move out of a nursing home after gangs attacked it, Sheriff Simon Pender claimed in the interest of public safety and because of the seriousness of the offences he had no option but to jail him.
