Paedophile pensioner jailed for 16 years

A pensioner from Cheshire has been jailed for 16 years for a series of historic sex offences committed in north Staffordshire.

John Aubrey, aged, 73, was jailed at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after pleading guilty to a series of serious sexual offences against children, which were committed in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

He pleaded guilty to offences including buggery, rape and indecent assault against children aged under 16, receiving a total jail term of 16 years six months.

Aubrey, of St James’s Close, Audlem, pleaded guilty to two counts of buggery, two counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child.

Aubrey was jailed on July 18 at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
