Bradley Stoke man found with more than 40,000 child abuse photos

A man found with more than 40,000 indecent images of children told police he’d “seen some terrible stuff”.

John Pick, 42, of Dewfalls Drive in Bradley Stoke, pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images spanning May 2013 to May 2015.

Some girls depicted in the abuse were aged as young as four, the court heard.

The Recorder of Bristol His Honour Judge Peter Blair QC jailed him for seven months on May 29.

He told Pick: “You admitted making indecent images right from the beginning.”

Susan Cavender, prosecuting, said police acting on information gleaned online visited Pick and he spoke to them outside the premises.

He conceded he’d had a problem for some time, had seen “terrible stuff” and was distressed.

An examination of his two laptops and iPhone revealed a hideous assortment of child abuse photos and films.

He had 413 images in the most serious abuse category, 727 images in the second category and 42,306 in the third category.

He also had 325 movies in the most serious category, 179 movies in the second category and 87 in the third category.
