Pervert jailed after he was caught by paedophile hunting team

A pervert who sent sexual messages to who he believed was a child has been jailed

Former cleaner Anthony Gearing, 37 of Littlehampton appeared at Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to sexual communication with a child

Gearing had been on remand since July 

The judge sentenced Gearing to:

• 18 months custodial sentence

• Five years sexual harm prevention order

• Told to register as a sex offender for five years
