Dewsbury man jailed over multiple rape of schoolgirl

A PERVERT has been jailed for 15 years after a court heard how he filmed himself raping a schoolgirl.

James Leeson, 53, carried out the offences against the youngster when she was between the ages of 13 and 15.

Leeds Crown Court heard officers discovered footage he had filmed of him having sex with the youngster. Other indecent images were also discovered on computers when he was arrested.

Leeson, of Wakefield Road, Earlsheaton, Dewsbury, pleaded guilty to:

Three offences of rape

One of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity with a child

15 offences of making or possessing indecent images of children

One of possessing an extreme pornographic images

The court heard the victim continued to be deeply traumatised as a result of Leeson’s offending.

Holly Betke, mitigating, said Leeson pleaded guilty to the offences at an early stage and spared the victim from having to relive her ordeal at a trial.

Judge Rodney Jameson, QC, told Leeson he must go on the sex offenders register for life.
