Longroyd Bridge man jailed for sexual activity with schoolgirl
A man has been jailed for three years for sex offences involving a 15-year-old girl.
Leeds Crown Court heard Jamie Crawshaw asked to speak to the girl when he saw her on April 8 last year.
He sat down beside her and exposed himself to her and then indecently touched her before getting her to commit an offence on him.
She later told her mother what had happened and the police were involved.
Crawshaw was arrested and subsequently admitted what he had done.
Mohammed Nawaz representing him told the court yesterday that “he is genuinely and honestly thoroughly ashamed of his actions.”
He said Crawshaw regretted what he had done on that one occasion and the probation service felt they could work with him.
Crawshaw, 26, of Bankfield Road, Longroyd Bridge, admitted sexual activity with a child and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Jailing him Judge Sally Cahill QC said he had taken advantage of the teenager. “She was young and impressionable.”
