Hull man jailed for sexually abusing a child

A former panel beater from Hull has been jailed after pleading guilty to, and being convicted of numerous sexual offences against a child.

Karl Hopkinson who was in a long term relationship with a woman abused a 14 year old schoolgirl over a one year period.

Hopkinson was found guilty last month at Hull crown court for a number of sexual offences including:

Assault by penetration, three counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of rape

Karl Hopkinson was jailed for a total of five years and was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life
