Pervert jailed for the sexual abuse of young girls

A HGV driver who was also a member of the territorial Army has been jailed for nine years for the systematic abuse of two young girls and rape and abuse of a woman

David John Cottrell, 35 of Merthyr Tydfil carried out a relentless campaign for six years of both physical and sexual abuse against a woman which included multiple rapes. However his offending was not confined to just the woman, it also involved two young girls who were subjected to sexual abuse over a two year period.

Cottrell pleaded guilty to the rape of the woman and Sexual abuse and attempted rape of one of the 13 yr old girls. He denied all other charges brought against him. 

Cottrell was jailed for a total of nine years and placed on the sex offenders register for life.
