Child porn images man is jailed

A man has been jailed for a year after being caught with pornographic pictures of children on his home computer.

Robert Hart, 47, was caught as part of an American-led investigation, which traced people who had subscribed to a child pornography internet site.

Some of the images found on his computer depicted bondage and violence and involved children as young as four.

Hart, of Holme, near Kendal, admitted possessing 245 indecent images when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.

When arrested he told police that even he had found some of them so “disgusting” he had deleted them from his files, the hearing heard.

He was ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years and banned from ever working with children.
