Teenage paedophile from Cornwall was admin for sick chat rooms with 700 members

A 17-year-old paedophile from Cornwall was unmasked as the administrator for child sexual abuse chatrooms in which hundreds of members shared disgusting footage and conversations of children being raped, tortured and abused.

Lucas Wilson, now 19, spoke of his desire to abuse young girls whom he knew.

Wilson, of Landreath Place in St Blazey, appeared at Truro Crown Court for sentence having pleaded guilty to three counts of possession indecent images of children and three distribution charges.

Prosecuting the case, Herc Ashworth described how an undercover operative who called himself Adrian infiltrated a group on KIK messenger that had a title indicative of child abuse image.

Adrian observed Wilson saying he wanted to abuse children, referring in particular to two children he knew.

Wilson sent messages to Adrian requesting pictures of his 10-year-old daughter before telling him he was administrator for four or five groups related to child abuse images.

Chillingly, Wilson said he wanted girls aged between five and 13 but “birth and beyond was fine”. He then went on to describe in graphic detail what he wanted to do to Adrian’s daughter.

Mr Ashworth stated how Wilson had provided the group with dropbox and other links to child abuse material featuring some 200 children, many of whom were grimacing with pain.

Wilson proceeded to set up various chat rooms on different platforms, with members reaching 742.

He also shared a clothed picture of a girl known to him saying he was ‘working his way up to abusing her’, adding that he wanted to have a daughter of his own he could abuse from birth but finding a willing partner would be difficult.

Police eventually raided Wilson’s house and seized devices containing hundreds of inaccessible child abuse images.

Wilson was given a 36 month community order. He must complete a rehabilitation activity requirement and be subject of a sexual harm prevention order.

Basildon paedophile attempted to rape young girl

A paedophile who attempted to rape a young child and had thousands of images of children has been locked up for 12 years.

Vernon Pickett, 52 of Waldringfield, Basildon, also forced the girl to perform a sex act on him, made indecent images of the child and sexually assaulted her.

Appearing at Basildon Crown Court on Friday, Pickett admitted a number of sexual offences.

The court heard 3,000 images of young girls were found on Pickett’s electronic devices.

Prosecuting, Diana Pigot, told the court indecent images were found on his phone as well as internet searches for images of young girls.

Ms Pigot said: “He was initially arrested in connection with malicious communication and had two phones and would not give the police the codes to the phones.

“Police then checked the phone and found 28 videos of offences against a girl and the defendant was arrested on July 27 last year.”

Ms Pigot also told the court Pickett had previous convictions for dishonesty, violence and breaching a non-molestation order.

Pickett was sentenced to 12 years on prison with six years on licence where he will be watched closely by the legal system. He will be eligible for parole after nine years of his jail sentence.

Sentencing Pickett, judge Samantha Leigh told him: “You admitted all but two of the offences and these will stay on your record.”

The court was told more than 300 films were found.

The judge said: “I have seen the two most serious and when you were interviewed by police you completely denied the incident.”

Judge Leigh added: “There is also evidence of grooming behaviour too and in my view there is a significant risk of serious harm to the public.”

Staines paedophile who shared child abuse images after computer ban is jailed for five years

An already convicted paedophile from Surrey who shared child sexual abuse and rape images on the internet with other paedophiles after being banned from having a computer or going online at home has been jailed for five years.

Nicholas Murphy, aged 65, of Staines-upon-Thames, was found with hundreds of indecent pictures and videos of children on his phone which police said he was sending to scores of other people.

During a hearing at Guildford Crown Court, he admitted breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order issued to him following a conviction for distributing indecent images of children in 2005, which prohibited him from having a computer or internet access at his home address.

He successfully applied to have his order discharged in February 2020.

But in July 2020, Surrey Police received information that the user of an email address linked to Murphy had uploaded more indecent images of children to the internet in June and July 2019.

The following September, officers carried out a warrant at his home and he was arrested.

A mobile phone was found at his address and, following examination, it was found to contain hundreds of images and video footage, including prohibited and extreme images.

A message was also found on the same phone which showed Murphy had communicated with another man and made comments about raping children.

A number of chat conversations were also identified where the users of the group had shared indecent images of children, with some of the conversations involving several hundred participants.

Murphy pleaded guilty to making and distributing indecent images of children, possession of prohibited images and possession of extreme pornographic images.

Paul Goulding – Barrow

Barrow pervert created fake profile to chat to ‘teenage girls’

A pervert who was snared by paedophile hunters after trying to communicate with five young girls has been jailed for three years.

Paul Goulding, 37, created a fake profile pretending to be a teenage boy to chat to girls aged 12, 13 and 14 on Facebook.

Between February and May last year, Goulding exchanged thousands of messages, sending explicit videos and photographs and making sexual suggestions.

But the defendant, of Napier Street, Barrow, later learned he was talking to an online paedophile hunting group

Goulding was arrested on July 12, 2020, after the group handed over a dossier of evidence to the police.

He admitted posing as a good-looking young man called James Baker, from Basingstoke, but did not accept he had any sexual interest in children.

Paul Brookwell, prosecuting, told Preston Crown Court: “There were mentions of meeting up but these were mentions only – there were no concrete arrangements made.”

He pleaded guilty to 14 counts of attempted sexual communication with children, attempting to incite sexual activity and attempting to incite a child to watch a sexual act.

Judge Beverley Lunt, sentencing, said: “The pleas accepted represent what was repeated and predatory behaviour.

“You actively sought out young girls to respond to you by lying about your own age and using a fake photographic image.

“You say to the author of the presentence report that nothing of what you did was in order to gain sexual gratification yourself – you said you got a sense of power out of pretending to be someone else and engaging young girls in conversation.

“That is obviously untrue because the speed at which you moved to sexual and graphic conversations with each of these girls aged 12 and 13 plainly shows sexual gratification was your motive.”

The judge said the defendant’s behaviour showed an element of grooming and said the images he sent were ‘disgusting and highly inappropriate’.

She sentenced Goulding to three years in prison and made a 15-year sexual harm prevention order.

He must remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

A paedophile hunter, who goes by the name of ‘Daz Huntz’ and led the ‘sting’ against Goulding, drove all the way from Devon on Friday to attend the case in person.

He said: “Five years in prison would be nice, but a custodial sentence is a custodial sentence.

“It could be better, but it’s better than some.

“I just want these people locked up.

“I just want these people arrested and accountable for what they are doing.”

‘Sexual predator’ from Barrow admits child sex offences

A pervert who sent explicit messages to people he believed were children is due to be sentenced.

Paul Michael Goulding has admitted 14 charges that relate to sexual offences against children after he sent explicit message to ‘decoy’ accounts purporting to be children.

The 37-year-old was charged with a number of offences including attempting to incite a girl purporting to be under 16 into sexual activity.

He also faced five counts of attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act.

As well as that he admitted four counts of attempting to incite a person purporting to be a child to engage in sexual activity, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and one of attempting to sexually communicate with a child.

He was said to have sent the explicit messages using social media.

Goulding, of Napier Street in Barrow, admitted all the charges in a hearing at Preston Crown Court.

He is now due to be sentenced at the same court.

The defendant admitted charges brought against under the Criminal Attempts Act 1981.

One of the witnesses in the case, a woman acting as a decoy for an online group that attempts to bring sex offenders to the attention of the police, described Goulding as a ‘very dangerous sexual predator’.

She sent the messages he sent over social media were ‘vile’.
After his appearance before South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court, Goulding was banned from having any unsupervised contact with children.

He is due to be sentenced in a hearing on May 21.

Babita Rai – Aldershot

May 2021

Mum who killed newborn daughter and dumped body in park bush guilty of infanticide

A 24-year-old mother has been convicted of infanticide after hiding her killing her newborn daughter moments after birth and dumping her body in a park bush.

Infanticide is an offence where a mother is responsible for the death of her child, aged under 12 months

Babita Rai, a care home worker, fatally crushed her newborn girl’s skull with repeated and ‘deliberate’ blows to the head in Aldershot Park, Hampshire, in May 2017.

The baby was left among the undergrowth behind a fence and did not die until at least two hours later.

Her mother was cleared of murder after defence lawyers claimed she was suffering PTSD and had no memory of the incident.

Rai, who was 20 at the time, had given birth under a nearby tree at night after hiding her pregnancy for months.

Rai was six months pregnant when she moved to the UK from Nepal, but concealed it from border officials, her GP and colleagues at a restaurant she worked at previously.

Her sister accompanied her from Nepal and the pair went to live with family opposite the park.

The initially unidentified child was found by the park’s keeper two days after its death, and dubbed Baby M by police.

‘Expert evidence indicates these were the result of multiple blunt force impacts and or significant crush injuries.

‘Howsoever caused, they were deliberately inflicted injuries and could not have been sustained by the baby accidentally, either during the process of labour, even a traumatic one, or afterwards, for example the baby falling on the floor.

‘The baby girl survived the injuries for perhaps between two and 12 hours, the likelihood being closer to two than 12.

Expert evidence suggests when she died she was less than six hours old.’

The judge, Mr Justice Johnson, thanked the jury for the “care” they had taken deliberating the case, which he described as “distressing and of the utmost importance”.

He adjourned the case until July 19 for a report to be prepared on Rai, from Reeves Road, Aldershot, and remanded her in custody until then.

The judge said that although “all custody options” will be considered, “historically in most cases a non-custodial penalty is imposed”.
