Livingston OAP who had pics of kids being raped and bestiality porn dodges jail
A perverted pensioner who had hundreds of pictures of children being raped and abused as well as hardcore bestiality porn has dodged jail.
John Green, 68, admitted possessing “extreme” indecent images of kids on his computer.
The OAP’s sickening haul, found at his home in Livingston, included videos of adults having intercourse with animals.
He had a total of 326 “extreme” pornographic images and six videos, some of them featuring sickening sexual assaults causing injury to people.
Green also had more than 2,000 indecent images of children on his computer, including 410 in category ‘A’ – the most serious showing children being raped or sexually penetrated.
Police found a further 501 images in category ‘B’ and 1,204 in category C’.
In addition, the hard disc contained videos showing children being sexually abused two of the films in category ‘A’ and one in category ‘B’.
Green, a first offender, pled guilty to downloading the indecent images at his West Lothian home between November 28, 2019, and January 6, 2020.
He was not required to appear at court for sentence because social workers recommended a community-based alternative to a prison sentence.
Sheriff Martin Edington put the accused under supervision for three years under a community payback order and said his name would remain on the sex offenders’ register for the same length of time.
Scots paedo with sick pics of BABIES & videos of young kids being abused dodges jail
A depraved pervert caught with sick photographs of baby girls being sexually abused has dodged jail.
Owen Hanley was caught with a disturbing collection of still images and videos of females aged between six months and 12-years-old being sexually abused.
He appeared for sentence at Livingston Sheriff Court on Thursday after earlier pleading guilty to possessing 53 still images of children being subjected to sexual acts and four videos featuring similar disgusting scenes.
An earlier hearing heard that police raided Hanley’s home in Crosshill Drive, Bathgate, after a tip-off that his web account had been used for downloading indecent images.
After obtaining a search warrant officers visited his house at 9am on Monday 2 November this year.
When they found a laptop computer on his desk in a bedroom, Hanley told them: “You’ll find things on there”.
A forensic examination of Hanley’s computer retrieved 53 still images in categories A to C – where A is rated as the worst form of abuse – and four videos in categories A to B.
The most graphic images showed penetrative sexual behaviour with young children, depute fiscal Connor Muir said.
Passing sentence in Hanley’s absence due to Covid rules, Sheriff Martin Edington said such offences were “always a serious matter”.
He made Hanley subject to a community payback order placing him under social work supervision for 18 months.
He warned that if Hanley failed to comply with all aspects of the order he would be brought back to court to face the likelihood of a prison sentence.
The sheriff said Hanley’s name would also remain on the sex offenders’ register for 18 months.
Pervert delivery driver asked schoolgirl to call him ‘daddy’ and wanted a picture of her in uniform
A depraved delivery driver asked one girl for pictures in her school uniform and told another that he planned to meet her for sex.
Alexander Potter contacted the online profile of ‘14-year-old Scarlett’ and sent messages including “do you want daddy to take your virginity?”.
The 47-year-old, also made contact with a second online account who he believed to be a teenager called Lucy telling her he wanted to meet up for sex.
But both online profiles had been set up by adult decoys connected to the paedophile hunter groups Maximum Exposure UK and Groom Resistors UK who subsequently contacted the police.
Potter pleaded guilty to two charges of indecently communicating with who he believed to be a child when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
His not guilty plea to arranging to meet with one of the girls for sex at a caravan park in Dunbar, East Lothian, was accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff Alistair Noble placed Potter, from Prestonpans, on the Sex Offenders Register and deferred full sentence to next month.
Fiscal depute Gavin Whyte told the court Potter contacted Scarlett on the hi5 social media site on August 26, 2019 and soon began sending her “flirtatious” messages before the contact moved to WhatsApp.
Mr Whyte said ‘Scarlett’ said she was 14-years-old and still at school but Potter continued to message the account.
He demanded she send him a picture of her dressed in her school uniform and sent horrific sexual comments describing sex acts he wanted the girl to engage in.
Among the explicit messages Potter said he wanted to “kiss your sweet lips while sitting on my lap” and “as long as no one sees us it will be OK”.
He also told her “we would have to do it where we would not be seen… like the woods or a building somewhere”.
The fiscal added: “The sexually explicit messages to Scarlett continued and included the accused graphically describing what he wanted to do to Scarlett.
“He also made comments such as ‘don’t worry I don’t want you getting pregnant’ and ‘do you want daddy to take your virginity?’”
The adult decoy then contacted the police and handed over the online chat logs she had saved.
Mr Whyte added Potter also made contact with ‘14-year-old Lucy’ on the Kick platform on September 22, 2019 and his profile included his image and used the name Alex P.
The fiscal said the sordid messages included “I want to meet you, I want to kiss you” and “I could go to jail but I still want you”.
The second adult decoy then contacted the police when she heard Potter had been arrested for messaging the first girl.
Potter pleaded guilty to sending sexual communication and repeated sexual remarks to an adult pretending to be a child, encouraging her to send him a picture of herself in a school uniform, describe sexual activity with her and encourage her to call you ‘daddy’ at an address in Dunbar, East Lothian between August 26 and September 29, 2019.
He also admitted sending written combination to a second adult pretending to be child and asking to kiss her and have sex with her at the same address between September 22 and October 1, 2019.
A not guilty plea to making arrangements to meet a child for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity at Dunbar Caravan Park, East Lothian, on September 29, 2019 was accepted by the Crown.

PlayStation perv caught with over 1000 child abuse photos on his console
A PlayStation pervert was found with more than a thousand child abuse photos on his console, a court in Scotland heard.
Jonathan McGregor also downloaded videos and photographs showing youngsters being subjected to sickening sexual acts on his mobile phone
Police raided his house in West Lothian, after receiving information that the IP address had been used to access explicit images of children.
Officers searched his bedroom after obtaining a search warrant following the tip-off on March 10, prosecutor Jim Robertson told the court.
They took away a number of items, including a PlayStation and a mobile phone.
Robertson said: “These items were fully examined by the police and indecent images were found on both devices.
“The accused was subsequently detained. He was interviewed and admitted that that was his bedroom and that the items taken away for police examination were his.”
He added there were four category ‘A’ videos – deemed the most severe – and 31 category ‘C’ images of children on the phone.
Police discovered 74 category ‘A’ photographs, 76 category ‘B’ and 1,098 category ‘C’ images on the PlayStation.
Mr Roberston said at Livingston Sheriff Court: “Can I say in fairness to the accused and his solicitor this was always going to be a plea? But it couldn’t be done any sooner because we required the full forensic report before a plea could be acceptable.”
McGregor, 50, who now lives in Bushmills in Northern Ireland, pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children between October 18, 2019, and March 3 this year.
His not guilty pleas to taking indecent images of children and possessing extreme porn of adults performing sexual acts on animals were accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff Peter Hammond called for a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment and deferred sentence until February 4 for McGregor’s personal appearance.
He also ordered that the accused’s name be added to the sex offenders’ register with immediate effect and said the length of time he would remain subject to reporting requirements would be decided when sentence is passed.
Paedo jailed after prosecutors appealed his sentence
A paedophile who walked free from court last year after admitting to sexually assaulting a ten-year-old girl has finally been jailed after prosecutors appealed his sentence.
John Boyd groped and kissed the young schoolgirl after luring her into a bedroom in 2019.
Boyd, 54, also sent the girl vile WhatsApp messages including “I am in bed dreaming of you” and “I love your lips, they are so kissable” and “I can’t wait to hold you in my arms”.
The HGV driver pleaded guilty to two charges when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last October and despite this being his third conviction for similar offending he escaped a jail term.
Sheriff John Mundy placed Boyd on a supervision order and on the sex offenders register for three years and said he must attend appointments with the specialist sex offender organisation CISSO
The sentence was subsequently appealed by the Crown and yesterday it was announced appeal judges have reversed the original sentence.
Boyd, from Prestonpans, East Lothian, has now been jailed 12 months and been placed on the sex offenders register for ten years.
The appeal judgement delivered by Lord Pentland stated: “We consider that the sheriff has failed to recognise the gravity, deliberation and persistence of the grooming of the child.
“We shall quash the sentence imposed by the sheriff and in its place substitute a sentence of 12 months imprisonment.
“The respondent will remain subject to the notification requirements applicable to sex offenders for a period of ten years.”

Whatsapp paedo who called victim, 10, his ‘girlfriend’ escapes jail
An already convicted paedophile has escaped a jail term for sexually assaulting a ten-year-old girl and sending her WhatsApp messages calling her his “girlfriend”.
Serial sex beast John Boyd referred to her “kissable” lips, called her “my gorgeous princess”, and said “I love you” over several weeks.
The pervert then lured the youngster to a bedroom and kissed her open-mouthed while squeezing her buttocks.
The 54-year-old was forced to flee his home in Prestonpans, East Lothian, after it was targeted by protestors in the wake of his guilty plea last month.
Appearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, HGV driver Boyd was placed on a three-year community payback order with a supervision requirement.
Sheriff John Mundy ordered him to attend a rehabilitation course for sex offenders.
Earlier defence agent Jim Stephenson said Boyd had lost his job after being convicted and accepts “responsibility” for his offending.
The court previously heard depraved Boyd has two previous convictions for offences involving girls aged ten and 15, one dating from 2001.
Mr Stephenson said a “long period of time” had elapsed since Boyd’s prior offending, and his client accepted any breach of a community order would lead to imprisonment.
Dad-of-two Boyd admitted sending sexual written communications via text and WhatsApp to a child under 13 between June 28 and August 5 last year and asking for photos of her.
He further pled guilty to sexually assaulting the girl.
The court previously heard depraved Boyd has two previous convictions for offences involving girls aged ten and 15, one dating from 2001.
Fiscal depute Anna Robertson told the previous hearing how Boyd took the girl to the cinema last June with her mother’s permission.
She said Boyd told the youngster she should do her hair and make-up, and referred to their “date”.
The court heard Boyd and the girl started exchanging messages on WhatsApp. In one, the girl sent a photo and Boyd replied: “You look beautiful”.
Boyd also wrote: “I’m one lucky man taking you out on a date.”
After the girl sent him a photo last July 1, he replied: “You look nice tonight.” Later he told her: “I miss you too. Missing my kisses and cuddles.”
On July 29 last year, he messaged her: “I’ll dream about you. How soft your lips are for kisses.”
Last August 5, Boyd was in a house with his wife, the girl and her mother, and others. Boyd went to an upstairs toilet and made a hand gesture directing the girl to a bedroom, the court was told.
Ms Robertson said he lifted the girl up under her arms, put his hands on her bottom, and was “sucking on (the girl’s) lip and kissing her with an open mouth”.
Boyd kissed her lips and neck, told her she was a “good kisser”, and said: “I’ll go to jail if you tell. I’m too old.”
After Boyd and his wife left, the girl tearfully told her mother about the attack.
Residents in Prestonpans launched a protest against Boyd after details of his sordid offending emerged.
Boyd was forced to move from the property and the windows of his house were later boarded up.
