Andrew Hyslop, 29, of Blakehall, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on Friday, October 20. Hyslop was arrested in July after four girls aged between 11 and 15 reported being approached by a man in the Skelmersdale area. On each occasion the man had made sexualised comments to the victims. Following a press appeal for information, including a description of the offender, Hyslop was named as a suspect. Officers arrested and charged the 29-year-old, with Hyslop pleading guilty at court. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison and given a 10-year sexual offences prevention order. He was also handed a 10-year restraining order which prohibits him from entering Skelmersdale and approaching any of the victims.
