A 20-year-old Derby man has admitted to possessing more than 700 horrific child abuse images.

Bradley Sharp, of Allenton, pleaded guilty to four counts when he appeared at Derby Crown Court.

He admitted to making 137 indecent images of the most serious class A category which typically show young children having full sex with adults.

The defendant, of Walnut Street, also admitted to making 190 category B images, 506 category C and 36 prohibited images, which typically show animated child sexual abuse images.

Judge Martin Hurst adjourned the sentencing hearing until March 17 and handed Sharp bail.

He said: “I will have a [pre-sentence] report in your case as it is important the court knows exactly why you have been committing these offences.

“That gives no indication about the likely outcome of what will happen to you when you are sentenced.”
