Man spared jail after pleading guilty to possession of indecent child images

A man from the West Midlands has been spared jail time – after admitting the possession of indecent child images.

Thomas Murphy, who hails from Warwickshire, in the West Midlands, has been spared a prison sentence.

He was given a reprieve after the 57-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing indecent images of children.

Murphy, aged 57, of Graham Street, in Nuneaton, Warks, admitted possession of indecent images of children 

He made the admission last month at Coventry Magistrates’ Court

As a result, he was given a community order including taking part in a sexual offenders’ program and 100 hours unpaid work.

Murphy was also made subject to a sexual harm prevention order and will sign the sex offenders’ register for five years.

He was also ordered to pay £185 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge.

His mugshot was released by Warwickshire Police.
