Predator jailed for sex offences against ‘schoolgirl’

A sexual predator has been locked up for engaging in sexual activity with a girl he believed to be 13.

Adam Evans, of Rectory Wood, Harlow, has been jailed for three years after pleading guilty to child sex offences.

Tye 45-year-old was arrested in June last year after engaging in conversations of a sexual nature with a girl he believed to be 13-years-old.

He appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, April 7 by video link having admitted to attempting to cause or incite a child to engage in sexual activity, arranging or facilitating the commission of sexual activity with a child and breaching a sexual harm prevention order.

He was sentenced to 36 months in prison and continues to have a lifelong sexual harm prevention order.
