Man jailed for 15 years after raping 14-year-old girl

A Grimsby man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being found guilty of raping a 14-year-old girl.

Wesley Hammond, 41, of David Street, was handed the sentence after being found guilty of two counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault against a teenager in September last year, following a two week trial at Grimsby Crown Court.

His offences came to light after police received a report of a man and a teenager going to an address in Grimsby.

Officers went to the property and Hammond was later arrested, with police finding videos of sexual activity taking place on his phone.
