Pervert sentenced for making and distributing child sexual abuse images

A vile pervert from Merseyside who distributed child sexual abuse images to other paedophiles has avoided a prison sentence
William Marshall McKinney, 60, who previously lived in Culcheth appeared at Liverpool Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to making and distributing indecent images of children
The court was told that McKinney of Charnwood Street, St Helens was caught after a google account belonging to him was found to contain images of children being abused.
When police analysed McKinney’s laptop, they found hundreds of indecent images of children aged as young as four. A large number of these images were classed in the most severe category, showing children being raped
The depraved pervert also collected images of children who had died lying in coffins
The police also discovered that McKinney had shared many of the images with other like minded paedophiles online
The judge handed McKinney a nine month prison sentence which was suspended for two years
A 20 day rehabilitation and activity order was imposed
The judge told McKinney he must adhere to a 10 year sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and that he must register as a sex offender for a period of ten years
