Convicted Hull paedophile committed suicide

A convicted paedophile committed suicide after struggling to come to terms with what he did.

Karl Harman, 34, was spared jail in 2016 after being caught with nearly 3,000 indecent images of children.

But an inquest into his death heard he suffered episodes of depression following his conviction and told his loved ones he was just “merely existing”.

He took his own life at his home in Coltman Street, west Hull, where his body was found by police on February 1.
