Swansea man in court after exposing himself to same schoolgirls for a second time
A MAN exposed himself to schoolgirls as he walked home from the shops — the same victims he had exposed himself to in a Swansea park months before.
Swansea Magistrates’ Court heard it was not known if Tyrone Harding hard targeted the youngsters, or if it was just a coincidence.
The court was told that Harding had bought cider from the local shop and was walking home along Clarendon Road on the afternoon of November 17 when he exposed his genitals to the teenagers.
The youngsters reported what had happened but told police that they couldn’t be sure whether his penis and been erect or not — merely that it was “small”.
Harding, formerly of Eaton Terrace but now of Carlton Terrace in Mount Pleasant, Swansea, pleaded guilty to exposure when he appeared in custody before justices.
Magistrates were told that the girls he exposed himself to were the same ones he had exposed himself to previously.
The 36-year-old is currently on a crown court community order imposed in July for another offence of exposure committed in Cwmdonkin Park involving the same girl.
The former Cefn Hengoed pupil also has a conviction for exposing himself to youngsters in Singleton Park.
On that occasion he was arrested after his victims recognised him on a subsequent visit to the park and telephoned the local PCSO, who rushed to the scene and found him hiding in the bushes.
The court heard that after the arrest for the November incident Harding said he suffered from social anxiety, and that such
behaviour “was the only way he could meet girls”.
Mark Davies, in mitigation, said his client had admitted his guilt at the earliest possible opportunity and spared the victims the ordeal of going to court.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction in the case and matters were sent to Swansea Crown Court.
Harding was remanded into custody until his appearance at the higher court on Monday, December 14.
