Paedophile jailed for physically and sexually assaulting 13-year-old girl

A MAN from Hawkesbury Upton, convicted for physically and sexually assaulting a young girl, has been jailed for 10 years.

John Keay, of Highfields, Hawkesbury, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm by punching the 13-year-old girl in the face and choking her.

A jury at Bristol Crown Court also convicted the 32-year-old of two sexual assaults.

Bristol Crown Court heard that Keay continued to insist he did not sexually assault the girl.

But Judge Graham Hume Jones, passing sentence, told Keay: “The evidence was absolutely clear.”
