Evil rapist jailed after locking girl in his car

A DANGEROUS sexual predator, who abducted and raped a 12-year-old girl, has been jailed for nine years.

Monster Imran Pervez, 27, of Pendle Street, Accrington, the brother of murderess Yasira Pervez, who was jailed for life in December after hatching a plot to kill her unwanted husband from an arranged marriage, subjected the girl to a “grave ordeal’’ after meeting her outside a Blackburn cinema last summer.

At the time of the attack Pervez was on licence from prison. He had been released just seven weeks earlier after serving half of a four-year sentence for possessing and supplying heroin and cocaine.

Preston Crown Court heard that the youngster, who was staying at her friend’s house, was out in Blackburn with two 14-year-old girls for the first time when they met Pervez and his co-accused Zaheer Khan at around midnight on 25 July.

Zoe Nield, prosecuting, told the court that all five spent around six hours driving around Hyndburn and Blackburn and that in that time all the girls were given alcohol and one was given cocaine and engaged in a sexual act.

At around 6am both of the older girls and Khan, 25, (pictured below) of Clifton Street, Accrington, got out of the vehicle in Oswaldtwistle.

Pervez then drove to an alley behind Barden Road, Accrington, and demanded the 12-year-old girl carry out a sex act on him, before he sexually assaulted her.

This week he was jailed for a total of nine years and made the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order after pleading guilty to child abduction, rape and sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.

Khan also pleaded guilty to one charge of child abduction and was jailed for 20 months.

Speaking after the sentence the victim’s mum, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said: “Nine years in the current climate is a pretty good sentence, but realistically my daughter is still facing a life sentence.”

Since the incident, the young victim has had to move schools and her family are now seriously considering moving out of the area to help her rebuild her life.

Detective Constable Helen Mercer of Accrington CID said: “This was a despicable incident.

“The girl is from a good home and was a good student, very sociable and got on well with her family.

“But now she is bitter and angry and is struggling to deal with what happened to her. It is hard enough when an adult is raped but she is only a young child.”

Judge Stuart Baker told Pervez he had committed a “grave crime”.

He said: “You drove her to a secluded area and locked the car doors. You put your hand over her mouth to stop her screaming. She pleaded with you to let her go but you told her to be quiet or you would kill her.

“You committed grave sexual offences and the element of abduction made the crime even more serious.”

Pervez, who has eight sisters and four brothers, comes from a family dubbed as a “family of evil” by their neighbours.

Two of his brothers and his dad have also served prison sentences for drug offences and his youngest brother was caged after he terrorised and bit a middle-aged woman as she walked to work. Pervez also endangered the community by refusing to get treatment for his tuberculosis.
