Dentist jailed for child porn

A dentist caught with more than 15,000 images of child sex abuse has been jailed for nine months.

Barry Keen, 57, was yesterday jailed at St Albans Crown Court and told he will be formally barred from working by the General Dental Council.

Police raided Keen’s home in Rasehill Close, Loudwater, Rickmansworth, on May 25 last year. They seized his computer and found 15,630 images and movies.

Some of them were classified Level 5, the most serious level.

Keen, now of Devon Road, Luton, appeared for sentence having admitted 18 counts of making indecent images and 2 of possessing indecent images.

In addition to the jail sentence he passed a seven year Sexual Offences Prevention Order, which means Keen must allow police access to his computer.

He was banned from working with children indefinitely and his computer and CDs were seized. He must register as a sex offender for ten years.
